This is a book that I loved very much from the very start and it had me turning all the way to the end. Hush, Hush is a cross between fantasy, romance and contemporary. Though many brand this book as a romance novel, it strikes me more as contemporary and fantasy. Buuutttt it doesn't necessarily mean that I got enough of Patch.... :p (btw, my heart still belongs to Jace)
This book is set in America, and it all starts when Nora Grey meets her new biology partner: Patch- a dark and mysterious character. He first strikes her gorgeous, but obviously, being to girl that she is she denies it.
Patch is a boy that has been cast down from Heaven, making him a fallen angel. With watchful eyes, he has been examining her for years and has been plotting to kill Nora as a sacrifice, so he could become a human. But guess what happens then? (Here's a huge, unpredictable plot twist )
He likes her.
So obviously he can't bring himself to do it. Even through Nora's eyes that "nothing is happening" , her feelings are secretly growing for him- even through his dark past. Later on in the book, she then sacrifices herself unintentionally 0to save Patch, and he is offered to be human. But because of his emotions for Nora, he nobly declines, which leads to the most exciting part of the book. He gets turned back into something... you probably know now... (hint: he is not a human) Anyways, I'm not going to spoil it for you because you wouldn't read
it if I told you and besides, you WOULD be sad that it was spoilt. You are going to have to trust me when I say this book is fabulous ;)
Well thank you for reading my post and also to Alice in Bookland for letting me use your library card to borrow it (it was expired) because I know I have not read it in this most recentness of times.
I give this book a 5/5 stars! (because it was amazing)
